Anchor Care & Rehabilitation Center was one of many area recipients who were honored today at Brevard Community College’s “Supervisor as Educator” Awards Ceremony, held at the King Center at BCC’s Melbourne Campus.
Our Ladies enjoyed their monthly “Tea” with a fabulous Coconut cake that was donated by a resident’s family.
We always have a good time, and just love “dressing up” in our fancy red hats.

It has been said that the only “constant” we have in life is “change;” and that has been proving to be true here at Anchor Care. Our ongoing process of improvements has once again brought Damie back “home” to Anchor Care.
Our staff and residents at Anchor Care & Rehab Center have been pleased to welcome back Damie Castle, RN as our administrator. As a facility, we gladly join with Damie in continuing to provide our residents with the “best” in long-term healthcare and rehabilitation services.

On Sunday, April 29th, children flooded our Activity Room with smiles, hugs, singing and puppets. Our residents were pleased to welcome and enjoy as the Melbourne Church of the Nazarene Children’s Ministry came to “worship” with our residents.
“J is for Jesus,” … “O is for Others,” and “Y-Y-Y-Y-Y is for YOU, You, You, You and You, and You and You, and You,” they sang.
Well, maybe it wasn’t night time, but it sure was a beautiful day for a cookout.
All the ladies wearing red gathered in Anchor’s courtyard for hot dogs, potato salad, corn on the cob, and cake. Without a seat to be had, residents and stakeholders alike enjoyed one of Florida’s greatest days (as far as weather goes). It was perfect! … And the food was wonderful, too!
Many thanks to Sylvester Byrd (Activities Director), Leslie Dawkins (Dietary Mgr.), Art Hutchins (DON), James Meyer (Social Services) and Everton Spencer (Administrator), our maintenance guys and several others for all of their hard work.
“It truly was a wonderful day!”
Anchor Care & Rehab recently qualified for a “GOLD” Rating during our ACHA Survey.
Congratulations to administrator Damie Castle and all of our stakeholders who continue to pave the way in fulfilling our corporate vision “to radically change the landscape of long term care forever.”
